Ján Gašparovič

Ján Gašparovič (1981, Žilina, lives in Žilina) addresses the questions of relation of physical and chemical processes at the creation and perception of what is seen. In his creative process, he prevalently utilizes the strategy of site-specific creation, before all, in the form of lighting or sound interventions, using the specific qualities of a given space. This results in playing with the viewer and his receptive abilities in terms of perception of impalpable phenomena. The essential part of his creative activities constitutes an almost laboratory research dealing with the qualities of chemical reactions that bring about processes leading to origination or deformation of matter, as well as seeking for “archetypal” or ideal forms.
