Katarína Hrušková

Katarína Hrušková (1984, Ružomberok) is mainly occupied with photography and its overlapping with other areas of visual arts. She frequently works with manipulations of pictures and their transfer into other media. Thematically, her interest is mainly focused at the area of personal perception of various marginal phenomena, giving a vivid picture of unconscious connotations and small visually-haptic obsessions. Her works are frequently quite poetic, connecting several meanings into one expressive visual whole. They are bearing a certain dimension of playing with what is personal and what the author is still capable of mediating with her works. Presently, she lives in London.
